The exhibition has been installed in the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice. Scarpa’s work is chronicled by photographic panels set in the corridors of the Gallerie. In the hall of the Church Santa Maria della Carità, a shower of steel cables hanging from the wooden beams supports curved sheets of plexiglas which hold Scarpa’s drawings within heavy steel frames. On a side of the hall, rows of models and drawings alternate on a grey wooden platform. The glass objects are grouped in display cabinets and illuminated in such a way as to emphasize their textures, colours and transparencies.
